Four Centuries of German Song

Simon Martyn-Ellis (Germany/Australia) takes a break from performing with the Akademie fűr Alte Musik Berlin and the Freiburger Barockorchester to explore German song across the centuries with alto Dorothee Merkel (Germany).

Matched with a four-course meal of local produce and wine, the evening’s musical fare includes works by Schűtz, JS Bach, Schubert and Brahms, and some rare Renaissance and traditional folk songs prepared especially for this unforgettable evening.
